Charleston, South Carolina, with its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and picturesque landscapes, has long been a coveted destination for couples seeking a romantic backdrop for their wedding day. In South Carolina, where the scenery is captivating and the emotions run deep, finding the right wedding venue can make all the difference. Jordan and Rhett did just that. The moment we began speaking I knew that their wedding day would be one of my favorites. Step inside their wedding ceremony at I’On Chapel.
Originally, they were going to host their wedding in Greenville, SC however, plans changed and they decided for a more intimate ceremony in one of the most beautiful chapels I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at.
I arrived to I’on Chapel already set with elegant table settings, soft linens, and gold flatware. To top it off, the simple greenery draping the estate table and oodles of candles gave the reception space a simple, southern charm. The lush, green lawn set with for their ceremony with the altar notated by wicker baskets of baby’s breath and greenery. I also saw that pizza was on the menu and it was amazing! Seriously, check out First Name Basis Co if wood-fired pizza at your Charleston Wedding is the vibe!
After getting ready photos, we snuck into an alley nearby to do the first look photos. A little tight but private and the overall feel was all Charleston. They also brought their two adorable pups to share in the day complete with a bow tie and tuxedo. Portraits were taken and then, it was time for the ceremony.
A wedding ceremony at I’On Chapel can be done inside or outside. Jordan and Rhett opted for an outdoor ceremony and I absolutely loved the entrances for the ceremony. Instead of down the main aisle, the wedding party entered from either side. The chapel is located in the center of a bustling street filled with local shops and restaurants. Although there was surrounding noise, the vows were perfection. Then, it was onto the reception. Jordan and Rhett’s Wedding Reception had family and friends enjoying each other’s company and celebrating the day.
Once dinner had finished, we set out to capture the last bit of golden hour amongst the southern homes, vintage brick, and oaks.
